TM DRAKE SLS — Third-party notices
==================================
Last updated: 2026-08-10
Product: TM DRAKE SLS (Windows)
Publisher: TM Drake · [email protected] · https://para.tmdrake.com/

This file lists major third-party components that may be redistributed with the
offline Setup or used by the application. Their licenses remain in force.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Microsoft Kinect for Windows Runtime / SDK components (v1.x)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Purpose: USB drivers, device runtime, and Microsoft.Kinect API used to talk to
Kinect for Windows v1 (or compatible) sensors.

Trademark: "Kinect" is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. TM Drake is not
affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft.

Redistribution: The offline installer may run Microsoft's Kinect Runtime 1.8
setup package as provided by Microsoft. Use of that package is subject to
Microsoft's license terms for the Kinect for Windows Runtime / SDK.

Do not remove Microsoft license dialogs presented by the Runtime installer.

More information (historical SDK/runtime distribution):
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download (search "Kinect for Windows Runtime")

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) FFmpeg
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Purpose: Optional/high-quality session recording (e.g. MP4 via libx264) when
ffmpeg.exe is bundled under the app tools folder.

This product redistributes an FFmpeg executable as a separate binary (not
statically linked into TMDrakeSLS.exe). You can replace or remove
  {app}\tools\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe
subject to the license of that binary. Without FFmpeg, the app may fall back
to other capture formats (e.g. AVI + sidecar audio) as documented.

Current redistributed binary (as packaged for field Setup):
  ffmpeg version 9.0-essentials_build-www.gyan.dev
  Package: gyan.dev “essentials” Windows build
configuration still includes --enable-gpl / libx264 (see ffmpeg -version)
LICENSE.txt and README-gyan.txt from that package ship next to ffmpeg.exe

Upstream project:
  https://ffmpeg.org/
  https://ffmpeg.org/legal.html

Binary build page (vendor):
  https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/

You MUST keep the LICENSE files from that same gyan package next to ffmpeg.exe
when redistributing. See docs/FFMPEG-LICENSE.md.

TM Drake does not claim ownership of FFmpeg.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2a) Files in installer\redist\ffmpeg\ (and {app}\tools\ffmpeg\)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  ffmpeg.exe — the binary (9.0 essentials)
LICENSE.txt — from the gyan package
README-gyan.txt — package readme from gyan
  SOURCE-URL.txt — version + download page pointer

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) Microsoft .NET Framework
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Purpose: Application runtime (target: .NET Framework 4.8).

The offline Setup may include Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.8 redistributable
installer. Use is subject to Microsoft's license terms for that redistributable.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) Microsoft sample / viewer heritage (KinectWpfViewers and related)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parts of the Windows UI stack derive from Microsoft Kinect for Windows SDK
samples and helper libraries (e.g. KinectWpfViewers). Those remain subject to
the Microsoft sample / SDK license terms under which they were originally
distributed. TM DRAKE SLS is a separate product built for field use.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5) Speech (System.Speech)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Text-to-speech for DrakeVox uses the Windows System.Speech APIs provided with
the operating system / .NET. Subject to Microsoft Windows and .NET terms.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
6) Website fonts (store only — not in the Windows EXE)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The marketing site at para.tmdrake.com may load fonts from Google Fonts
(e.g. Inter, Orbitron) under Google's font terms. Not required to run the app.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7) Payment processing (store only)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Purchases on the website may be processed by Stripe. Stripe's terms and privacy
policy apply to payment data. The desktop app does not embed Stripe.
